Course Overview

To meet the ever-growing demands of qualified and trained Phlebotomists, AIIS has designed a Certificate program in Phlebotomy Technology. A Phlebotomist has to be a diligent individual with compassion when dealing with the patients. This certificate program prepares the phlebotomist to understand the psyche of the patients and bleed them with ease, causing minimal inconvenience. They are trained to bleed with one prick methodology, wound treatment and usage of equipment. The program has been structured to provide progressive group learning among the students enrolled through case studies, presentations and group work.

Learning Outcome

To learn the work in hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities drawing blood from patients in preparation for medical testing.
To learn the concept of Phlebotomy Technology and its advantages.
They will learn to be attentive to detail, work well under pressure, have excellent manual dexterity, have excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people.

Evaluation and Grading

Evaluations will collate candidate performance based on Self Assessment, Term End Assessment, completion of Project Work , participation in Webinar , participation in student-faculty chat.
Grading will be done based on alphabetical grade point percentage.

Certification

At the end of the program the student will be awarded with Certification from Astron Institute of International Studies.
