Learning Outcome

  • To understand the introduction of neonatal nursing, high risk pregnancy , hypertension and diabetes mellitus and anemia.
  • To understand the injuries during birth ,resuscitation of the newborn and ventilation, evaluation.
  • To understand the how to care baby at birth , prevention of infection, thermal protection & kangaroo mother care.
  • To understand the difference between feeding of normal & low birth weight babies.
  • To understand the transport of neonates and neonatal morbidities.
  • To understand the quality standards for neonatal nursing care.
  • To understand the infection control, epidemiology of infection and nosocomial infection.

Evaluations and Grading

  • Evaluations will collate candidate performance based on Self Assessment, Term End Assessment, completion of Project Work , participation in Webinar , participation in student-faculty chat.
  • Grading will be done based on alphabetical grade point percentage.

Certification

At the end of the program the student will be awarded a Certification from Astron Institute of International Studies.
