Quick Bio : Dr. Yash Paul Bhatia has been at the forefront of Hospital and Healthcare facility management since 1981.
He has to his credit , the conceptualization, establishment and management of many prestigious multi Speciality and single speciality tertiary care hospitals in the country. As former Chairman, Accreditation Committee for National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities and as present Chairman of Healthcare Committee on National Board for Quality Promotion, he is pioneering the quality revolution in healthcare management and delivery in the country.
He has also been the chairman of National Task Force to establish healthcare accreditation mechanism in India & presently serves as a Board Member of NABH and a member of Advisory Council of JCI.
He is a visiting faculty with health care management institutes in India, Oslo (Norway) and Abu Dhabi and winner of many national awards. Dr. Gyani has been instrumental in formulation and operating of National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), for the first time in the country. Dr. Gyani as Principal Coordinator, has been leading the team for development of accreditation standard and getting it accredited by International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua). With the result, the hospitals accredited by NABH, have global recognition, which have given boost to Medical Tourism in the country. Dr. Gyani was the founder CEO of NABH till he superannuated in July, 2012 and has been retained as member of its Governing Board. Dr. Gyani has been nominated as member of academic council of Medical Council of India (MCI), with a view to facilitate objective assessment of medical colleges. Dr. Gyani has distinction of serving as elected director on board of International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) for year 2009-11 and 2011-14.
