Indian society has always considered the profession of healthcare as the most superior among all. Since doctors get the highest honor, the youth of India has always been inclined towards pursuing a career in medicine and health sciences, otherwise known as MBBS. But in this era, the number of students enrolling for MBBS abroad is increasing every day and is higher than what it was a few years back. The question is, why is this happening? Affordable MBBS abroad fees could be one of the reasons.
The restricted number of government seats in Indian medical universities and the extravagant tuition fees imposed by the private medical colleges have encouraged a high number of Indian students to study MBBS abroad.
Since many other countries have accredited medical universities that offer certified and hard-to-resist MBBS courses, which is why opting for MBBS abroad for Indian students at low cost is nothing but an intelligent choice.

About MBBS course

Medical education is quite difficult when compared with other fields of education, but the perks and satisfaction after pursuing the medical career makes all the effort worth it. MBBS is the most aspiring and certified degree of doctors. Two bachelor's degrees are enclosed in one domain as the Bachelor of Medicine and the Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). India uses the pattern as inspired by the United Kingdom with many other universities in various countries that follow the same system.
Whereas the US pattern awards both the degrees separately as M.D (Doctors of Medicine) and D.O (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine). MBBS is the only degree that lets the eligible students carry the term doctor before their name. The duration of the MBBS typically lies between 5.5 years to 6 years (4.5 years academic education + 1-year internship).
Just like countries like Russia, Philippines, Georgia, Mauritius, Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, kazakasthan, krygysthan, Uzbekistan also give degree as md program only.
According to the National Medical Commission (NMC/MCI), a total of 542 private and government colleges had a total of 79,854 seats (in the year 2020) for the students who have successfully cleared the mandatory National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). The number of seats medical colleges of the nation offer is only a fraction of the total number of candidates that register for NEET every year.
A record total of over 15 lakh students registered for the NEET UG Entrance Exam in the year 2020. The students who were unable to make it to the cut-off of the government universities used to have only one alternative left as the private medical institutions which offer the degree at their exorbitant tuition fees.
But now, the situation has changed as the students who are unable to make it to the government colleges of India can now pursue the same degree at best medical colleges abroad at a drastically lower budget than the private medical colleges.

  • NEET is mandatory for all medical students to apply to any medical universities abroad.

  • Students after graduating have to qualify for the fmge/next exam to practice in india.
