Being able to breathe is one of the basic essentials for life and respiratory care technicians are the monitors and guardians of a patient’s ability to access thisnecessity.There are countless typesandcausesof breathing problems and patients depend on respiratory care technicians to improve their quality of life and help them recover. This course will provide the essential skills required to work as a respiratory care technician. Trainee will learn in detail about the essential skills required to work , evaluate, treat and manage patients of all ages with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders in a wide variety of clinical settings. Trainee shall be exposed to basics of performing respiratory care procedures, patient evaluation, treatment selection ,assessment of treatment and patient education.The course shall also help in assessing the cardiopulmonary status of patients and making recommendations and assist physicians in caring for these patients, performing and assisting prescribed diagnostic studies such as drawing blood samples, performing blood gas analysis, electrocardiograms, exhaled gas analysis, pulmonary function testingand utilizing data to assess the appropriateness of prescribed respiratory care.
