This course provides a thorough grounding in research training relevant to clinical psychology. Keeping pace with advances in this discipline, the M.Sc. Psychology programme seeks to deliver a thorough, all-encompassing understanding of psychological functioning at the individual and social levels. To acquire specialised knowledge, students are able to nurture their academic interest in clinical psychology.
Their personal growth and awareness is heightened throughout the course. Clinical psychology addresses behavioral and mental health issues that individuals face during their lifetime. These may include intellectual, emotional, psychological, social and behavioural maladjustments. During the course, students enrich their experience through field visits.
They are also encouraged to pursue internships in hospitals and complete projects on selected topics. Thus, students enhance their skills and become trained and competent professionals in the field. The course also provides a thorough grounding in research training relevant to clinical psychology.
Students develop advanced research skills and the ability to assess research evidence critically and constructively. Upon completion of Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology, a student will be able to explain psychopathology behind various kinds of abnormal functioning and to diagnose mental, emotional and behavioural disorders.

A candidate who has passed any degree examination from a recognize university with a minimum of 50% marks with Psychology as one of the Optional subject shall be eligible for admission to the program (45% in case of SC/ST/PH students).
